After that, we went for our university Wushu performance with bunch of friends. So, the way to our university…something was happened>>> my gf was crossing the road, and one car passed by that time…the moment you would thought is, embrace her hand and cross the road…just that simple. It works after all!

Sushi Zanmai

Last 2 days, I went to Sushi Zanmai with friends for dinner. The food was actually quite okay, but I still think Senjyu Sushi is much better than Zanmai in terms of price, food quality and the atmosphere. Anyway, Sushi Zanmai’s LouSang also not bad, at least nicer than Chinese style.

We (KC, Chris, SooHooi, and I) have waited for Vinze and WaiKei quite a long time…argh, darn starved! what to do? order appetizer first to fill up part of the stomach. :)

So curious where does she found Doritos, coz I were told that Malaysia and ~~Singapore~~ didn’t import this snacks anymore?! Actually, it could be bought from Singapore =.= And, thanks piggy for giving me such a surprise via parcel, and the card too. I love it! :P

Valentine’s Day

It has been a while didn’t update my blog…let’s refresh a bit :) Yesterday went to The Curve for free movie – Valentine’s Day by Nuffnang and window shopping. CNY is around the corner, The Curve has been decorated by tanglung and bamboos…it didn’t look pretty good and kind of awkward using tanglung as a theme for CNY, supposedly tanglung is for mooncake festival…am i right?

Garden Restaurant is finally available at The Curve! Its location totally strategic lo…obviously crowd would notice it with its white theme.

It was dinner time!!! First, we wanted to try Tony Roma’s restaurant. But due to to superb price, we walked out from the restaurant. Damn paiseh la, coz the waitress had given us the napkins…anyway, we went to try out Senjyu Sushi restaurant that nearby McD inside the Cineleisure Mall.

Last weekend, I had a trip to Genting with my family…it was quite a long time our family didn’t have any outings. The plan to Genting was originated by my sis that came back from Sabah for about a week at here. I hadn’t meet her for almost a year, perhaps, realised that she has been slimmer than before…that’s maybe she need to look after her two kids.

that’s her son, Isaac. He is cute, but naughty…:) I think every child would be like that. Anyway, he is not that close to me, but still approachable la..it is because I only able to meet him like once a year. One funny thing about him is, he would search for his mom whenever he does not see his mum for about 10 or 15 seconds. =.= I think his brain only think about mom, mom, mom…

talk about the Genting trip, first day I lose 80 bucks in gambling, but the second day managed to get back from –80 to 100++…:P thanks to my dad, and, of course Uncle Lim…And, I love the misty weather over there, especially during midnight…simply makes me feel comfortable and relax. that’s all, nice trip, nice gambling, nice shopping and nice food!

Future of Education

As I mentioned in my blog before, I were invited to the event of ‘Future Is’ presented by HP and Microsoft at last year 2009 Dec. The event launched a competition, called – Blog A Trend. It regarded the catalyst to a vibrant online conversation about what the Future Is, through a vision of trends across every aspect of our lives.

I’m currently an university student, so, definitely I’m going to talk about the matters of education, especially the ongoing of Malaysia education system, how does education is related to future, how would I foresee the future of education and et cetera.

Have you heard about foetus education? When we were still a foetus that living inside the body of mother, we had already given the absorption of education, sort of music. Probably, parents would play the type of classical music for the sake of foetus, surely it won’t be those rock or rap type. haha…They believe the foetus would feel the music and listen on it, and this, perhaps it would educate them as a good-temper, well being of infant when they are born. Obviously, education is crucial to mankind as it would determine what kind of person you are and, also to lead you to a better mankind.

Kindergarden--->Primary School--->Secondary School--->Tertiary/Pre-U/Diploma--->Degree--->Master--->PhD, that’s the normal flow of a people may get through for the whole process of education. It takes a long long long time for the education. So, what you have really learned from school or college? And, how is the education of Malaysia system may pondered on your mind? Plenty of secondary students had taken more than 10 subjects for Sijil Peperiksaan Malaysia (SPM), why they do so to make themselves suffer for so much subjects? In a highly competitive society, human being would attempt to stands out from the crowd, to be more extraordinary than others. Therefore, they would take as much as subjects for examination.

How is the ongoing Malaysia education system? I could say it is more on like indoor system…all information and knowledge are come from textbook, textbook and textbook only. Learning should not just depends on the source of textbook, but also the absorption with outdoor learning, sort of experiment, jungle trekking, travelling and etc. In my opinion, practical learning is far more interesting than theoretical learning, and students would get more interested on practical stuffs. Nevertheless, the learning process would be more lively and enjoyable, and interaction among teachers and students would be improved too. The future of Malaysia education system should be like this way, otherwise, our education standard would be one step away with the level of developed countries.

It makes me like a nerd by holding the textbook everyday, study, study, and study…oh no, that’s not called life! go outside the world and learn!!

Textbook is heavy and cumbersome too, especially for the primary kids. Excessive weight is bad for backbone and health. Then, why we still using the textbook for teaching purpose? Now is technology era, we should use wisely on technology for the benefits of mankind! Why don’t use laptop, desktop PC or a lightweight gadget for teaching? Yes, using a PC has its downside which is price. It costs more than the textbook. However, what I’m talking about is long term! The benefits of using the PC for teaching purpose could be unexpected and unlimited, that’s what I’m thinking. For instance, you could obtain lots of information and knowledge through the few clicks on the PC. That’s it! How about the textbook? How many information could put inside a textbook? I think you could figure out the answer. Plus, many production of PC nowadays are using green materials to produce it. Obviously, this is friendly to environment. Unlike the textbook, it is using the paper which comes from the tree to print out the textbook. How much trees that being chopped for the production of textbooks? I could imagine the figures would be huge!

Besides, most of the people think that study is just for the examination. It isn’t so. Students would get stressed out when they are taking the exam paper. As a student like me, somehow I would ponder why there is a need of having exam? Sitting 2 hours plus for a paper have to study lots of chapters. In the future, paper-type examination should be eliminated and I’m more looking forward like practical examination. This could be more precise to determine how well you are in that specific field.

Education is not only for the young generation, elders do eager to learn new information like us. For instance, my parents always ask me how to use the applications on the laptop. They do want to know how to use MSN to chat with friends and their children. They do want to surf net for information. However, most of the elders’ learning ability could be sluggish. Probably, computer classes specially for elders could be implemented to let them learn it effectively and efficiently. They need some time to get used with new stuffs.

In a nutshell, Malaysia government should amend the education system for better improvement. Likewise, the new structure of using English instead of Malay language for teaching Science and Maths subjects has been implemented for the past few years. I think it would be a great advancement for the Malaysia education. However, they wanted to reverse back the system by using Malay language for teaching purpose. This language swapping would cause lots of problems to the students, as they may not able to adapt the language used for the studies. Imagine that you are learning Maths in English language, suddenly you are asked to learn Maths in Malay language. Would you able to get used with it? I’m bet you cant! Thus, changes is for improvement, not for degradation.

Nikon Centre

Recently, I just visited the newly-opened Nikon Centre which located at Times Square. It was a nice experience, coz I got the chance to try some of the DSLRs and of course, the telephoto lens which make me felt like, WOW! As you know that telephoto lens is made for zooming in detail. How much for a telephoto lens? around 20k…LOL, enough to buy a Kancil…

Dinner at Chili’s

I went to MidValley and had dinner at Chili’s with friends. Quite a long time didn’t meet up them. Nothing much to describe about it, just a normal dinner and had some ~~cock-talking~~…:) I just post up some of the food that we ordered.

Bottomless Tostada Chips, RM10.95. I love it, coz you could refill it and the sauce is yummy! :P

Barbeque Ranch Burger, RM20.95. It stuffed with 200gm medium-well cooked beef, beef bacon, aged cheddar cheese, pickles, veggie…nyum nyum!! Believe me, it’s really BIG!!

Brownie topped with ice-cream, RM12.95. Taste normal, still accepted.

My Valentine’s Day

Pick which star to spend for Valentine’s Day? Of course Jessica Alba laaaa…if not? She is my goddess for all the time…:P hopefully my gf would not jealous about this. haha…

The moment I meet her, I think my heart would gonna beat like 180 times per minutes. LOL. But, the first word I will say to her is, “Jessica, you are so gorgeous deeply in my heart!” And, I will embrace her to show how much I love her.

How would I spend the day with her during Valentine’s Day? I think, she is sick with all those luxurious spending like she used to. So, I would just give her a simple yet warm Valentine’s Day. What a girl wants for the day? it’s just easy…a banquet of flower, presents, dinner, sentimental music, nice environment, a kiss, and last but not least, a movie – Valentine’s Day. First, I’m gonna bring her to a restaurant beside the beach coz I know she love much on beach and give her the flowers and presents. And then, I will cook for her the Chinese dishes to let her try the food of different cultures. Play some soft music and have a nice chat with her, any topic will be done. After dinner, I would ask her to have a walk on the beach and give her a soft kiss. In the end, a Valentine’s Day movie would be a perfect ending for the day.

Welcoming 2010

The coming of 2010 means that I’m turned to 22, the number is kinda scary as I would think of aging. =.= even though 22 is still a young age, but I got a feel like…I’m an adult now, lots of stuffs gotta bear with - career, responsibility, $$, future, etc…unlike the life as a children or teenager anymore. New year resolutions, many people would ask and think about that…for me, it would be similar with the previous years, happiness & health! nothing much change about it. I wish, there is always an improvement for everything that I do.

Anyway, back to the celebration during 31st of 2009. I went to 1U with my gf, another couple, plus SockYee. My little Kelisa was quite pity, packed with 5 people…the seats behind was like sardines. And, the traffic was okay at first, but it got worst around Eastin Hotel, stuck at there for 30 minutes I think. Nothing can blame about it, everyone was going to celebrate 2010 eve what. After we reached there, SockYee joined with her bf for Avatar. I were told that Fu didn’t like to celebrate new year countdown with the crowd. haha…So, the two couple of us went for dinner at BBQ Plaza. :)

I would rated it as 3/5. The sauce is just nice, but too much of seasoning makes me feel thirsty. Anyway, I do love the bacon and prawn. :P

After we had finished it, we went to join the crowd for the performance in the stage. The emcee said that there were 30k people in the crowd. oh, really?

16th Dec was my gf’s birthday, now only I’m blog about it. haha…I did bought her presents, one that she would liked it a lot, while she may not liked the other. Anyway, the day before her birthday, some classmates had celebrated with her at Secret Recipe. She was dumb enough that still didn’t know people were going to celebrate her birthday. Can’t blame her la, her nickname could explain everything. :P

KTM and Streamyx are !@#$%^&*

22nd of Dec, it was the end of my last paper for Year 3 Sem 2. :) After all, I went to Mid Valley with my gf for movie, Avatar, window shopping, and getting the Clarins sample sets. But, the bloody staff showed me her sickening face by telling me that the samples are finished. I didn’t even show her the paper of getting the samples, she already told me it was finished. Damn it!! For the Avatar, storyline was really awesome and it would be cool if it happens in the future! I wanna try out to ride the ‘bird’ by connecting the nerves with it.

We had spent 12 hours at Mid Valley…darn tiring! Plus, I only slept for 2 hours the day before to study my FMS paper. After test, it must take some relaxation activities or entertainment to pamper yourselves right? So, we went back to Sg.Long by KTM around 8 something. Guess what time we could get the train?? 10 I think. First, the arrival time shown at the board was like 8.45pm. Then it changed to 8.55pm. Changed unstoppable…until 9.30pm. Pig started to nag eventually. Ok, that was fine. The train came, but full of passengers, like a cans of sardine…obviously we were not managed to get up the train. Thus, have to wait againnnn…FINALLY! the next train was quite okay, at least we still managed to get inside the train.

The problem is, why KTM would not improve its services??? e.g, adding up more trains and make it on time!!! no more delay plssss…I’m so pissed with the infrastructures in Malaysia. They should learn from other countries like London, Japan, and Singapore. Their population are far more than Malaysia, but they could provide good infrastructures to the citizens! I could not figure out why the train always have the technical problems as what I’m often heard from the speaker. Is it they buy second hand train from other countries?? argh…And, I met a Nigerian architecture that day. He even told me the design of KTM didn’t look good at all and lots of comments about it…Malaysia 2020 would happen?? ahaha…I’m really hope so lor…

Another issue is about Streamyx, my gf’s house have some internet problem on 17th Dec. So, her housemate called up the Streamyx to fix the technical issue. The Streamyx staff told her that someone would gonna fix it on 19th. okay, seems like quite responsive and efficient right? Problem haven’t fixed yet. Then, call the Streamyx hotline again, 100. The staff told us the same thing, saying that it would be okay after 2 days. Again and again…I think 4 or 5 reports have been made, yet still no one come to fix it. Until today, which is 26th, the internet line was only fixed. How many days they could not use the line? 10days…so many things could be done in 10 days!!! They should self-questioning about these issues for peoples!!!…And, I do believe most of you guys have this kind of experience too. Speak it up!!

I were invited to his birthday party, perhaps, it should be called as steamboat party :) This is the first time that I saw got people make steamboat for party…LOL…quite unique also…so, I just dress casually only because eat steamboat would makes me sweat a lot. The longggg journey to Kepong took around 1 hour, it was farer than I go back to Seremban. Pity my stomach started to nag on me. >.< Anyway, here is the birthday boy :-

HP Future Is Event

A BIGGGGG THANKS to NUFFNANG for giving me such a nice opportunity to attend the HP Future Is event, this could be the first time that I was invited by Nuffnang to such a huge occasion. And, I felt grateful that I were one of the lucky 25 commentators who has the chance to attend the function. Honestly, I was really had fun during the event, because you guess what? I got the chance to meet up the 5 well-known online influencers (bloggers), they are Kennysia, Jojo Struys, Cynthia, Red Mummy, and Joyce!!! I were so excited about it! Besides, I would able to participate this event, Future Is - The Online Community Talks About The Future Of Things which it was meaningful and gave me such a wonderful night.

Time: 7pm – 10pm

Venue: Rootz Club, Rooftop, Lot 10 Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur

So, what’s the event all about? As it mentioned on the brochure, Future Is – an event jointly presented by HP and Microsoft, bringing together online influencers like the bloggers to talk on the future of technology that comes on design, fashion to the environment as well. And, I believe nowadays consumers are not just looking on the performance of the technology, but also emphasize on the outlook of gadgets and whether it is a green product or environmental friendly. Besides, this event was mainly about the two big companies, HP and Microsoft were collaborated together to present a forum that made you thinking and talking about vision of the future. That’s just sounds interesting! Vision – it could be a strategic intent designed to focus the energies and resources on achieving a desirable future, this is what I had learned from my current course subject, Strategic Management…sounds that this event would be beneficial to my studies as well. :)

Here are some of the pictures regarding setting of the event, nice one! Lots of laptops let you have a play on it. And, sorry for the picture quality by my lousy digital camera and, perhaps my lousy photo-shooting techniques >.<

Actually, there was some light refreshments for the guests. But, it was just not enough for me because the food was in a small portion, probably one shot you may finish it. Besides, I didn’t take dinner before I came to the event. Could you imagine how would be my stomach starving like? Anyway, the drinks were just right with my taste, especially the red wine, it’s just smooth in the mouth. *Thumbs up*

The event was officially started by the emcee, Will Quah. And, who is the person with a big head and starting bald, perhaps, in the picture? It is Kennysia that sit right in front of me…haha.

Who are these people from their back? They are the top bloggers, Kenny, Jojo, Red Mummy (left to right), just sit right in front of my row. :) Red Mummy in red dress. Probably she only have red colour attire in her closet.

The top 5 influencers were invited to the stage for having an open forum and Q&A session.

Well, it was interesting to hear the thoughts and also inspirations about the future trend of technology by these top bloggers during the open forum. Indeed, they might open a new market by throwing out their creative and innovative ideas for the technology developers. For instance, female bloggers like Jojo and Cynthia have stressed on the development of GPS in the human brain or eyeballs which can scan for road directions. I know it’s sounds great for mankind, especially women. It is because most of the women do not have the sense of direction. They might just get lost when driving, even shopping. :) So, definitely it would be useful to people. However, I think this idea is quite exaggerate and a bit out of mind. But, who knows someone is going to make it realise in the future? Perhaps, chip implant in the human brain?

Furthermore, they also mentioned about the usage of technology by these bloggers in their daily life. I think, BLOGGING could be the biggest usage of technology by them, even me too. Without blogging, it would do not have a space or connectivity to share your own thoughts, just anything you want to share with, or a place for you to express your own feelings and emotions, whether you are sad, angry or happy. Additionally, online business may not exist if without the technology, as mentioned by Jojo, Red Mummy and Cynthia. Probably, they are currently doing with online business by selling clothes. As for Kenny, he may not promote his newly-opened fitness centre – Level Up Fitness through his blog. Oh ya, Kenny has mentioned about ‘TISSUE’ technology is crucial too. Probably only guys would know the meaning behind of it, “S*X”. And, without the technology would be like a cavemen or ‘junglemen’ that doesn’t know anything at all. Plus, I would not able to meet Kenny in this event without the technology of airways that bring him from Kuching to KL on that day. Besides that, as a college student like Cynthia, without the technology would be like end of the day. Without the technology, you cannot goggling for information, you cannot work for the assignment with Microsoft Office, you cannot stay connect and share stuffs with friends via online or MSN, you cannot log on to the Facebook, and lotssssss of work you cannot done without it. This is definitely true! I am currently a student as well, laptop and technology could really deal with a lot of things. I don’t think nowadays student would still looking for information in the library with books or references, that’s time wasting and cumbersome. You can just online and search whatever you want through the Goggle, simple! For Jojo, I may not see her performance in the television broadcasting if without the technology. For Joyce, without the technology, she may not able to do with her fashion stuff and editing.

WITHOUT TECHNOLOGY = END OF THE DAY

There is one question on the floor – What is the downside of technology? Ya, everything does have both sides. It has advantages, but it would also has the disadvantages at the same time. For instance, the problem of microphone interruption that happened during the event, said by Kenny. It was a good example by his spontaneous response to the question. As for Red Mummy, the disadvantage of technology could be happened on her children. She mentioned about her children are sent to the Chinese school for education. Therefore, she would not know what are the things that her children surfing in the net because she does not understand with Mandarin. She also mentioned about someone has misused the technology by putting her cell phone number in the pornography website which has caused problems to her. She did received SMS by the public, asking whether she is free tonight and that kind of questions. Likewise, Cynthia faced the issue of someone has misused her identity and photos in the Lookbook (a website regarding fashion). In addition, Jojo has talked about the issue of intellectual property (IP) regarding downside of technology. Nowadays, issue of intellectual property could be implied on music industry and movie industry. People download the songs and movies through the illegal websites or P2P software, this has caused such a huge strike to the music companies, song writers, producers, and et cetera. If this incident keep on going, probably I could not hear a nice album or a nice movie like Lord of the Rings in the future. Personally, I’m totally agreed with the phrase of ‘everything does have both sides’, advantages and disadvantages. Since the downsides would still exist, why don’t we just diminish it to a lower level to achieve a balance with the benefits? Right? Thus, this should let the developers think about how to make this happen.

This one of the PC that have catch my attention on it. It is a HP TouchSmart ⁶⁰⁰ PC equipped with 23 inch 16:9 Full HD widescreen display with tilt adjustment, integrated microphone and adjustable webcam, Blu-ray optical drive, HP Ambient Light with colour choice, and integrated premium speakers. Most ‘chio’ about it is you can touch anything on display without the usage of mouse anymore. Definitely you can show off in front of your friends! :)

This is another HP Mini that I’m reallyyyyyyyy interested with!!! It is a limited edition HP Mini by Studio Tord Boontje. The design is inspired by harmony in nature, and it is crafted using HP imprint 3D, a world’s first in 3D surface technology. Besides, it featured with 10.1 inch mercury-free LED backlit display for increased energy efficiency. I’m gonna to own it, hopefully.

As I mentioned the comment for this contest before at the Nuffnang website, My HP Future Is winning a HP Mini by Studio Tord Boontje Limited Edition notebook, as I could forecast that Nuffnang would kind enough to award me the HP Mini netbook!! Hopefully my forecasting is true. :) IMHO, ‘FUTURE’ always related to performance, speed, efficient, effective, design and environment in order to keep on improving the technology for better mankind. With a high speed connectivity and production, it would be benefit in better efficiencies and effectiveness. And, definitely the performance would be extraordinary. Moreover, design outlook of the gadgets is one of the important elements that consumer look with in this new technology era. It must looks outstanding from others, unique and exquisite to stands out from different brands. The design of gadgets should be compact and small to fit in the bag or even your pocket. Nowadays, people are busy with routine task and they need to go around everywhere. Nonetheless, the gadgets should be light enough to bring to everywhere in order to complete the work. In addition, the gadgets must be green to the earth, which would not pollute the environment or so called environmental-friendly. It is because the earth and human as well are warned by the sign of natural disaster and changing of climate, that mankind is polluting the environment badly. Therefore, gadgets that produced should be good quality and good to environment as well.

Here is the restroom of Rootz Club, obviously good for men!!! ngek ngek…Actually I coincidentally met Kenny in the restroom, wanted to have a photograph with him inside the restroom. But, feels like kinda weird. So, I didn’t request for it.

This kind of restroom, I think men would easily to pee, probably ~~jerk off~~ inside the toilet. haha…I’m wondering whether the female restroom would also posted with male posters??? probably…Ya, definitely this could relate to technology as well. Otherwise, I would not able to capture such a ‘beautiful’ restroom to share with you all and post it in my blog, right? Thanks to technology!

Here are the nice gifts that provided to all of the 25 commentators. I do love all, especially the laptop bag! Now I could take my laptop to everywhere, to surf net, to watch movie, to do my assignment, to blog, of course!

In a nutshell, technology is everything. I could not imagine how the earth would look like if inexistence of technology. Probably, I’m still live in the jungle or in the cave. And, I do learn a lot from the HP Future Is event, hear the thoughts of others, meet different of people especially bloggers, technologies, and lots of stuff. From that, I do get the inspirations as well. Definitely a nice experience! Once again, thanks to Nuffnang, HP and Microsoft. :)

Last but not least, thanks to my friends for being so generous to take me to Lot 10. Otherwise, I may not attend the function.

Broga Hill

It was 4 Dec, I went to climb Broga Hill with my classmates. I had to wake up at about 3.15 morning to get myself prepared. 3 days straight didn’t get enough sleep, so tiring! The weather was pretty bad with rain as I told by SockYee. Thus, I sms-ed to my class rep to confirm whether the trip was still on or not. Not to disappoint others, my class rep decided to try our luck. We managed to gather all the people at about 4am, and 3 cars were heading to Semenyih. Due to SuhLee is staying at Kajang, so we stopped by at there to fetch her. The rain was still continuing along the journey to our destination. >.< ~~Perhaps, MG should not pray for God of the Rain. Everything he prayed won’t realise. :)~~

About 20 minutes, we have finally reached to the location of Broga Hill which is near to Nottingham University. I were too excited to start climbing the hill because I do not climb for any hill after the trip of KK Mount. Still, the God did not treat us well by keep on pouring the rain. It took roughly 45 minutes to get to the first peak, perhaps. We not managed to head another peak because the rain was too heavy, hence, we just standing still at the ground by letting the rain poured on us. Luckily some people got bring umbrella, if not we really died in cold. Besides, there were people who camped at there and we just hope those guys would kind enough to let us go inside the camp. aikss. They didn’t. We stood there for like almost an hour, trying to pray for the God to stop the rain and let us see the sunrise. The most saddening was not able to see sunrise and didn’t take photos on such a nice scenery due to rain.

Due to the rain, we gotta to make decision whether to stay or go down. Majority of the people agreed to go down because it was too chill until your body would shiver. The road was a bit dangerous because it was quite wet and slippery, so gotta take care of the gals. I could concluded that the trip is definitely nice, but most of my stuffs had been wet especially purse, cell phone and camera. >.<

After that, we make a move to had our breakfast at Broga area which recommended by SuhLee. The taste of the mee was quite nice and the red bean sweet soup was terribly cheap. Have you ever heard ‘tong sui’ only cost 50 cents nowadays???!! unbelievable…

Later on, we headed to a temple called ‘Shek Na Duk Miu’ (石哪督庙) for the purpose of visitation and to get lucky numbers. ^^ However, the number was not lucky enough that we didn’t win the lottery :( Some more we had bought it at 3 different lottery companies. Anyway, the environment and view of the temple is nice, maybe because it located at a hill.

Gathering after 9 years

People could easily connected if you are wanted to do so, especially with the technology nowadays. You may find anyone you want through the Facebook. That’s the gateway I could find back my primary school classmates. Yesterday night was a memorable moment that we could still able to make out a gathering after a period of 9 years, that’s just too great!!!!

Before I went to the gathering, my feelings was like nervous yet excited to meet back my old friends. Our original plan was meet up at Station 1, but due to DAP has booked up the place for event, we have changed the place to Tarot’s cafe.

The moment I met them, is like ‘wow!’ Feels like unbelievable…Their face didn’t change much, just like a small kid face that have grown up to an adult face. We were still shake hand and intro ourselves to each other. :) That’s lovely! After that, we were just too busy chatting with each others, knowing what are they currently doing with, talking back our primary school, friends, teachers, things we did together before, just any topic we could chat with. It was sooooooooooo marvellous! I were still afraid that we would feel strange and nothing we could talk with when we meet up, but I’m think too much. We talked, we laughed, we took photos. ^^

Christmas Carol + Italiannies

Who is the BIG CHEF for these burgers??!! haha…* Chef Cjin * he is too ‘pro’ to cook the burgers and French fries. Aiks..I should take down his photo, but I forgot to do so. Anyway, the burger is yummylicious. Inside of the burger has the ingredients of chicken ham, omelette, and cheezzz…thumbs up! Rated it 3.5/5. IMHO, the fries was not really nice enough. Cjin, put more effort on your cooking skills!! at least for doraemon??! :)

A special thanks to NUFFNANG, again….for giving me two admission tickets of 3D Christmas Carol movie. Have to go The Curve for the movie…damn boring because it is far, I have to borrow car from friend plus petrol…why those events cannot held at nearer places like Mid Valley?

During that day, we intended to go Paddington Pancake House for dinner, but in the end, we had our meal at Italiannies because the price of the food at Paddington is superb. As most of the people know that Italiannies is best-known with its large portion of food, most suitable to share food with others. Nice restaurant!! ^^

First thing you would be served with baguette bread which is FOC. You have to dip the bread on olive oil with the mixture of vinegar. For me, I love it much coz I’m a food lover…

ours Strawberry Colada, it is a blended drink of strawberry with banana. One word to describe, Yummy! But, it just too chill for me. Price, RM8.90. Rated 4/5.

ours Shrimp Fra Diablo, a pasta with fresh prawn, cheese, veggie, and some nuts. The name of this pasta is too awesome! Like the name of game – Diablo. Nothing to critic about it. It’s too delicious, especially the fresh prawns and the cube cheese. Price, RM32.90. Rated 4.5/5.

are we at national library?? haha..it’s not! It is The Library, a pub or a place for clubbing. The idea of books for pub is not bad at all!

This is a household cleaner that recommended by my friend, it called The Pink Stuff. It is best to clean the material of glass and steel, such as car windscreen or kitchen utensils. Even my mum said it is good too. You can purchase it from Ace Hardware at RM13.30.

Oh ya..forget to comment about the movie Christmas Carol. It is a bad experience for my first time 3D movie. First, it do not have the subtitle. Second, the vision through the 3D specs is a bit blur, perhaps is the movie quality. Third, I do not really understand the storyline of the movie, it’s too boring for us. Rated the movie, 1.5/5. I thought it will be a nice movie, but end up nothing.

2012 + Dragon-i

A big thanks to NUFFNANG, for giving me the prize of 2 premiere movie tickets. Damn happy about it!! :) Besides, thanks to HanXing for lending his car to me, so that I’m able to go The Curve with pig to watch this movie. Somehow, I hate to go over PJ areas especially 5-6pm because that’s the time working people go back to home. The traffic was like hell around Eastin Hotel. We managed to reach there at about 8pm after an hour plus of driving.

After that, we walked around The Curve to think about what to eat. Pig wanna eat something with rice, so we just headed to Dragon-i （笼的传人）for our dinner.

I’m waiting for my food, damn starving!!!

My dinner, Beef Ramen 红烧牛腩拉面 RM15. My first sip of the soup was too spicy that makes me cough. Overall, the ramen was so so. Rated as 2.5/5.

HoneyDew Juice RM5, quite nice. Rated as 3.5/5

fermented peanuts, this titbits will automatically served by the worker. I think you can ask them to take it back, coz it charges RM2. Rated as 3/5.

Shanghai Shrimp Dumpling 上海小笼包 RM9, the food that this restaurant well-known with. Rated as 4/5. IMHO, the tastes of it has deteriorated a bit as compared to last time.

Pig’s dinner, Black Pepper Pork with Veggie Rice 菜香饭拌黑椒猪扒 RM15. The taste of it also so so, but pig said it is worse than normal restaurant fried rice. Rated as 2/5.

After dinner, we went to the Nuffnang booth which located outside of the cinema to collect our tickets because we have to take it within 8.30pm-9.30pm. The admission ticket looks pretty good with 2012 wallpaper. :)

Not to waste the time of half hour before the movie, we went to Padini Concept Store to look for pig’s shoe again…haha…to try her luck. Yeah, she got her luck that the shoe is still available. BUT, it don’t have the size she wanted. Plus, I think the shoe is overpriced which costs around RM90 if I’m not mistaken. In the end, she walked out the shop with nothing. Anyway, that’s good indeed because no need to waste money. Meanwhile, I bought a Padini tee shirt to my nephew. It was damn CHEAP! I bought that tee shirt with RM9 only. Good bargaining! :)

Later, we rushed back to the cinema coz it was almost 9.30pm. Supposely the movie is at 9.30pm, but it started at about 10.10pm because of the extraordinary crowd. We have to queue up until outside of the cinema, which I never experience before. And, I only knew that we have to take our electronic devices which could capture photo or video to the counter. This really causes trouble to the people which have to line up again to collect back the belongings after the movie. Personally, I think that’s quite cumbersome. But, nothing can do with it. That’s the rules and laws that we gonna obey it.

About the movie 2012, I think majority would comment it as a nice movie. The plot of the story is good, and the scenes were exaggerating and stunning, yet it looked real and I think it would convulse your vision and hearing. In short, I would described the movie with a word, EXCELLENT! Rated as 4.5/5. Once again, thanks a lot to Nuffnang….

JoonYew’s 21st

Recently is just too busy with tests and assignments until I don’t have time to blog. On 7.11.2009, I were invited to my foundation classmate birthday party. My purse is gonna bleeding to buy gift for the birthday boy. It was a big honour for me, that needed to trouble the birthday boy came to Sg.Long fetched us to his house. Thanks, JY!

My Top 5 Treat List

As what I stated on my blog description, life is too short for anything, but HAPPY. Life should be joyous, full of different kind of life experience to be a better man. Therefore, we as a human, should treat ourselves better in the area of material or our desire on certain stuffs whenever we have the capabilities to do so.

The pyramid shows the top would be the most important and bottom would be least important. There are 5 important aspect of my life perspective, which has to achieve a balance within each aspect. IMHO, most important is life essential, comes with health, family, friends, and last but not least, career. I’m sure it would lead you to a better life enjoyment.

# 5 – Career

Everyone has to work for the sake of surviving for life in this intense competition among humans. BUT, it does not mean that you are happy with the current job. What I believe is, YOU CANNOT WORK FOR LIFE, YOU MUST WORK FOR HAPPINESS. How many years would you able to work for a job if you are not happy with it? FIND A RIGHT JOB is my rank #5 treat list. When you are truly love something, definitely you could work the job for a long time.

# 4 – Friends

What is the role play of FRIENDS? It would be an important element in my life. A Chinese phrase, “At home, we depends on parents. At outside away from home, we depends on friends”. Indeed, friends could be a good companion whenever you are happy or sad. They definitely would be a good listener for all the problems that you are encountered. TRAVEL WITH FRIENDS is my rank #4 treat list. It is always great that could travel around country in this world, even local would be nice too. Without them, then it would without me. So, my next treat list would be BUY A FAMILY CAR, which able to fit all my family members and my loved one, and bring them to everywhere.

GARDEN, it is a lifestyle store and cafe located at 1U…It is a nice place for gathering, especially couple. The environment with nature leaf decorations, pure white dining tables and chairs, plus the atmosphere with soft music around the restaurant is simply warm, romantic and cosy as well. About the price of the food, I would say it’s middle-high. But, I think it’s not a big problem of trying out new stuffs.

After the dinner, Eric and Jolene separated with us for shopping. They only still have one and a half hours to shop, for sure it was not enough time for gals to shop. Meanwhile, me and pig went to Cold Storage to find the junk food, Doritos that I had searched for a decade…haha…too exaggerate. I’m really want to try out how nice is it!! But, I’m not given a chance, not even one. >.< Anyone could tell me where to find Doritos? Then, my girlfriend went to find her shoe at Padini Concept Store, still not able to find it after few visits to different shopping complex.

My next purpose is to find present for JoonYew’s 21st birthday party on this coming Saturday. I think everyone has the same feeling, whereby does not like to buy present for people. It’s not the matter of $$, but you have to keep on thinking what type of gift that the person would prefer. Finally, I just bought a tee shirt from Topman. Luckily I got the Topshop membership card, got 10% discount. :)

Next, my girlfriend and I went to the Perlini’s Silver retail store for our rings maintenance. It’s a lifetime maintenance provided by Perlini’s Silver. Our rings after polished, it became like a newly-bought ring. They have a sheet of black paper to polish the ring and buffer it with a cloth. Seriously, I do not know what the paper is, but it just too superb that can revive the ring. :)

Singing Audition

Is it sounds terrified that I’m going for the singing audition? haha…it has been a long time that I didn’t take part in any of singing competition, i think since primary school. Anyway, that was a good try for me actually. At least, I have the guts to sing in front of the judges even though my hand was shaking like an old man when I’m singing. :) I knew my singing techniques is still far from a level or standard, so whether the audition is success or not, it’s not a very big deal to me. Most importantly, I felt great and happy about the inspirations and supports by her. Without her, I wont take part on it. Thanks a lot about that, I appreciate it.

Theng’s 21st

1 November is an ‘once a lifetime big day’ to Theng Theng, its her 21st birthday…therefore, 10 people of us went to Restaurant Yuen Steamboat which located around Sunway for the celebration. It was a good idea of having steamboat during rainy day. so warm…^^ We knew it would be a lot of customers at the restaurant especially weekend, just didn’t expect it was REALLY a lot!!!

peoplesssss is queuing up to get their table. why so many people? arghh!! My poor stomach started making noise…

Luckily, we managed to get our table within 30 minutes. it’s still okay lar…After that, of course we gonna to move our ass from the chair and get the food.

As you know that Yuen steamboat restaurant is well-known with its BBQ chicken wing, it’s so yummylicious! But the image above has made the chicken wing looked like a charcoal :(

They all should appreciate my good technique of getting the chicken wing, which have to fight with other people in order to get it. I used 2 plate to grab the wings even though the restaurant got provide a tool for it, so that it would be faster and effective in the sense of getting more chicken wings.

The eating process has undergone about 2 hours +. We were so DAMN FULL. Here’s the leftover:-

Yesterday evening, my girlfriend and I went to watch the movie Poker King at Cheras Selatan Jusco’s TGV. As what normally I said, the more you expect that movie would be damn nice to watched, it would turn out in another way. Am I right?

Not much comments regards this movie – normal movie, not hilarious enough. IMHO, I rather think that those ‘N’ time gambling movie would be nicer than this a lot. Rated it as 2.5/5.

Before the movie, we had our dinner at McD. ^^ I’m able to get another glass!! Yayyay!! BUT, the lime green color glass has been SOLD OUT, again…>.< Only managed to get a clear transparent glass.

That’s the end of the Coca-cola McD glass collection. Out of 7 glass, only managed to get 4 which I think not good enough. Anyway, I knew that’s impossible to get all of the glasses.

It has been a long time I didn’t meet up my old classmates, Vinze and WaiKei. So, there was an event of karaoke session at Neway Leisure Mall has been organised, sort of gathering. Most importantly, the reason of having karaoke at Neway is the promotion of ‘Ladies Free’ during Happy Hour, which is from 1pm to 7pm. Sounds interesting, attractive and CHEAP, right?!

Now I believe, “There is NO FREE lunch in this world”. Business people won’t be so generous of giving FREE stuffs to consumers. The Neway’s promotion is kind of deceptive advertisement. It stated as, Ladies Free. Obviously, you would think that ladies is FOC while only guys need to pay for it. We assume only need to pay RM20++, coz only 2 guys are going. Out of our assumptions, the bill is a SHOCK to all of us.

RM20++ became RM86.30. WTF!!!

seems like ordered a lot of food and drinks.

In the end, each of us need to pay around RM12. >.< But, it still consider cheap and worth for the money. We sang for 5 hours and the PA system is good enough, plus VIP room. Still want to expect what, right?

McD Coca-Cola Glass Collection

yayyy! finally I got my first 3 Coca-cola glass collection, which are blue, green and purple by McD. Special thanks to Miss Stop Stop (Theng Theng) for being so generous, gave me the blue one. And, she was forced by me to take the large McValue Meal in order to help me to buy the purple one. Anyway, I think she is fine with the large meal since her weight would not gain so easily.

A little bit of disappointment, the pink glass has been sold out!! My collection would not complete! >.< Anyone kind enough to give me the pink one? ^^

My weight gotta gain a lot if I collect the other color of glasses. Imagine that, you would need to eat a burger, large french fries, large coke, and sundae for each glass. It must be a lot of calories…

Crème Brûlée

It’s the first time I made this dessert, Crème Brûlée. Why is it called as Brûlée? It means “burnt” in French. There is a burnt layer above the dessert through caramelize. How to make this simple dessert? Here’s the procedures to make about 3-4 cup of desserts:

1) Prepare 4 yolks, 1/6 cup of sugar, vanilla bean or vanilla extract, and 1 cup of cream.

2) Preheat the oven to 150°c.

3) Using a whisk to beat the yolks until you feel it smooth enough.

4) Add other ingredients into the bowl, and continue whisk it until fully blended.

5) Now, prepare a pan with an inch of water, and place the ramekins into the pan. The water should about halfway of the ramekins. It should be like the image below.

6) Then, pour the mixture into the ramekins, fill all the ramekins about halfway. Do not over-filling.

7) Put the pan into the oven and bake for about 35 minutes. After baked, the mixture should be set, but the centres would jiggle if you nudge the pan.

8) Then, wait for the ramekins are cool enough. Put into the fridge and chill for more than 6 hours or overnight for the best result.

9) Last, caramelize the top of dessert.

How to caramelize Crème Brûlée?

1) Sprinkle with generous sugar or brown sugar on the top of dessert based on your taste preference.

2) Burn it with butane torch or put into oven with high temperature to make the sugar until caramel. The caramel would be brown in colour, like this:-

3) Put the ramekins into the fridge until it chill enough to serve with.

4) It’s done and enjoy the dessert!

It is a simple dessert that you can try with. Even though I made it quite sweet, you could adjust the amount of sugar to suit your own tastes. My mom had made a comment on it, she said the creme brulee is yummy! :) You guys can have a try on it!

Finally!! finally! The movie 2012 is coming soon in this November!! woooohooo :) After the movie of Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow, here it comes 2012. I think everyone can’t wait to watch this blockbuster movie of the year.

So, what is this movie about? The world will come to an end on December 21, 2012 based on the Mayan calender. Jackson Curtis casted by John Cusack, he uses the knowledge of the ancient prophecies to ensure human being is not completely destroyed when global catastrophe made the world in disorder.

Do you think of when is the doomsday would come? I believe sooner or later, this world would come to an end, just don’t know when it would happen. As you can observe, human being keep on polluting the environment through air, water and land. Human would fall sick, as the globe will do. Everyone in this world should aware of the importance in keeping well with the environment and make the right action for the sake of globe.

If the world would come to an end, what item you would keep in the time capsule? Perhaps, it would be well-kept and found by other people. For me, I would put my family photo inside the time capsule. Adam Sandler had said a phrase, ‘family comes first’ in the movie, Click. This phrase is really meaningful and touching, and I believe, without my family, without me.

Nephew’s 3rd Birthday

03.10.2009 is the celebration of mid autumn festival, and also the birthday of my little nephew (we used to call him as ‘Zheng Zheng’). Time passed fast, Zheng Zheng already 3 years old. When he was an infant, he used to be adorable and chubby, compared to now, his face has become slightly thin and he got eye bag plus dark circles around his eyes. :)

What do you think? Is it has changed a lot? In fact, he has become 10 times naughtier than before, it’s like uncontrollable behaviour. His favourite activity could be hitting people, even his mom. It has been a long long long time I don’t play with my guitar. Feels like want to learn back the techniques during this holiday. haha... so called ‘technique’. Even though I took guitar course for about a year before, but I’m not really expertise on it. For instance, I’m not able to play well on the song, no matter how often I practice the chords. Just like cannot catch up the beat accurately. Seriously, I want to learn more on guitar, to play the songs I love. But, I’m just feel like can’t find a right path to learn on it.

Whenever I heard any nice song, I would have an impulsion to learn how to play the song. Recently, I’m keep on practising the prelude of Jay Chou’s song - 说好的幸福呢. :) I’m still able to play it, just a bit slow. hehe… I would play it hard, until I can get good flow of the song.

But, there is only one criteria must be fulfilled, which your Windows MUST be GENUINE. :) Am I talking rubbish? haha. Anyway, I’m uninstalling my current antivirus software, Alwil Avast now. And, I would try out the Microsoft’s antivirus software to see the performance on my lappy.

IMHO, Microsoft’s security software is quite user-friendly because the structure of it is simple and it would not much affect my lappy speed performance, unlike Norton and Kaspersky. You guys can give it a try!

Brazilian BBQ Buffet - Churrascos

Today’s dinner, I went to Brazilian BBQ Buffet with my housemates and friends. The restaurant’s name is kinda special, called Churrascos, means the barbeque is found and the tradition has more than two centuries in Rio Grande do sul. The food was okay, I would rated it 3.5/5. At first, I was surprised that there were only few choices of food. Actually, they would come and serve you the food, sort of lamb kebab, beef kebab, deer kebab, prawn, cheese hotdog, prawn, and etc, just like the picture shown above.

Today was just too unlucky for me, first, exam was fucking hard. It’s fine, I knew it would be a tough paper. Then, I have indirectly made my gf’s external hard disk spoilt. DAMN!!! It happened too sudden. I’m also don’t know what is going on with that. No matter how, I’m still have the responsibility on it. Later on have to go computer shop, see whether the external hard disk could be recovered or not. It’s just too important for her, all those research project data are inside in it. Today has just finish the second paper, Corporate Governance. Now only I realise that I do not have the capability of governing company. Am I taking the wrong subject? Why shouldn’t I choose FSA? no regrets..no matter what, I would still loyal to CG, as I’m not good in accountings, cash flows and those figures stuff. I would rather to choose to memories even though it’s really tough for me. No choice!

Can you imagine that tonnes of notes need to memorise just to answer three questions?? All those boring notes regarding company’s structure, BOD, shareholders, etc. This CG paper, it’s really a difficult one! For me, it can be said as super duper hard, perhaps it could be easy for others. Just simple, you could answer the questions if you have chosen the right topic to memorise. My brain RAM has just deteriorating, maybe 256mb? or even 128mb?? become an old man already…>.<

Out of 3 questions that required to answer, mostly I only managed to answer 40% with confidence, 60% without confidence. Aiks..This paper would make me either pass or fail, it’s just in between the border line. All depends on lecturer’s marking scheme, unless there is a MIRACLE?? would it be?? Oh my lovely lecturer, can you make it a PASS?? Don’t dream anymore!

Hills after hills, another subject is waiting for me to conquer it. Just finish the exam, then need to revise for another subject. Is it boring?? But, it is a scary subject, CBM!!! I think is CBM conquer me, not i conquer it…=.=’Good luck to those who will sitting for exam.

Arthur’s Day

Next week Fri, 25th September, there is a celebration of Arthur’s Day with a huge party event in Sunway Lagoon. BLACK EYED PEAS is coming to Malaysia….woohooo!!!! Regarding to the website, Arthur’s Day is the celebration of 250th anniversary of the signing of a lease on the Saint James’s Gate in Dublin, Ireland in 1759. It was the starting of the history and legacy of Arthur, the man whose vision, innovation and foresight started a remarkable brew that is still enjoyed throughout the world today.

Many artists will perform in Sunway Lagoon during that day, including BEP, Reshmonu, Mc HotDog, MJ116, Danny One, Manhand , and Joe Flizzow. Michelle’s Birthday

Yesterday, we had a gathering, so called ‘birthday celebration’ for Michelle at KFC. Actually, she already dinner with her friends whom also celebrate her birthday. That’s weird to ask her follow us to eat again. After dinner, all of us went back to home. In the way back to Cypress, there was a pick-up bear machine in front of the shop. Cjin intended to try his luck to get a bear, of course he managed to get it due to the supports that we gave him. haha. Four of us were so happy that success to take out the bear from the machine. Some more, they want to try again next time. LOL. Addicted…

That’s cute right?? So, we decided to give it to Michelle as a gift. Woohoo…no need share to buy present for Michelle already!! haha..

The tiger feels sad that he is going to leave us and follow Michelle go back home…>.< From the picture, can show how happy Michelle is. Happy Birthday, Michelle!

1st Exam Paper

Today has just passed through the first ever final paper, which is Business Ethic. There is still a long and painful road to go with, 3 more tough papers are waiting for me to tame them. ^^ Back to today’s paper, I was quite confident with this subject when revising the subject, but, it became more confusing after i have read few times. swt! I couldn’t figure it out why every first paper, i would be very nervous and stress until cannot sleep well on yesterday. Today’s paper, i would rate it as above-average difficult. Some of the key points were really hard to remember, you could imagine how many key terms need to memories until i need to make all the points into short form. These were just part of the key terms that i could remember. sob sob..

Anyway, hope that i could have a nice sleep today!!
